Spring Break

So I took vacation during spring break for the first time in years! A whole week off of nothing, aside from a few dentist appointments. I did have a weekend visit from my dearest and almost oldest friend Carla.

I’ve known Carla since 7th grade! Yeah, that was a LONG time ago. Try 21 years! The only friend I’ve had longer is Alajuana, though I see her almost as infrequently, and talk to her far less than I do Carla. Anyway, it was a great visit. Carla looks great, and is most certainly happy! That’s all one could ask for. We had a blast just watching movies, listening to Madonna, catching up, and having some wine and Godiva ice cream (not at the same time). Again, what more could you ask! We did a bit of shopping, toured an empty campus, and had a nice meal at Deerpark Tavern in Newark. All in all, it’s one of the best weekends I’ve had in a LONG time! Here’s to hoping she comes back really soon! She’s even considering moving here! Watch out Delaware! She skipped out on her family for a weekend to come see us. She works away from home during the week and goes home on weekends, so it’s been a while since she was home. Thanks for letting us have Carla for a weekend, Deb!

This coming Saturday is another visit of sorts. It’s our “Pizza, Wine, and a Movie” night with a few friends. That’s always a blast! So, two great weekends surrounding a week of no work! Again, what more could you ask!? I even got to use my camera (bugging the hell out of Carla), and I got some really nice shots. I have the photography bug, and will probably torture the company on Saturday as well.

Now if I could just get those two papers done! Damn.
