What is it about a vacation day that lets you catch your breath?
I mean, obviously my life is insanity lately with so much going on. And I didn’t even come CLOSE to catching up on classwork and reading. But dammit, it was worth every minute. The clouds of my mind lifted, and I feel human again.
In other news… the weather is freaky. It’s clear we won’t have a real fall this year. After a drought all summer, and lingering warmth, the leaves will just do what they do in Mississippi: turn brown and hit the ground.
I guess I can still hope for a good winter? Nice snow, with no madness. Right…
And soon I’ll be getting what my career path is suggesting:
Even with the student discount, it’ll set me back a couple. I’m working a second job at grad school to make it possible. So it’s not just a mindless purchase. I’ve been tempted to postpone the purchase until the semester is over. I really don’t need anything else on my plate. It’s made of paper and tipping fast as it soaks up all that grease.
Actually down here in MS our leaves are still on the trees and we’re seeing a “little” color! HA!
Ha ha. You don’t know what color IS! 😀 We had a little rain not long after my post, and some of the trees recovered and are doing very well! Up near my grad school they are beautiful. I forgot to bring my camera today, though.
But there’s nothing like walking to campus from the train and going “ahhhh” the whole way!
